Source Smoothing
Have you ever purchased advertising or traffic and got "too much" traffic from a few very large sources, which skewed your tests because you did not have traffic from a diverse group of websites? JuicyAds has solved this problem with the newest addition to its SexyTechnology™ suite of targeting features. The new option is called Source Smoothing™ which is now on the platform in Beta for mobile and desktop banners and is sure to please JuicyAds clients and improve results.
You know what they say, variety is the spice of life. It also works that way for your advertising and traffic needs, especially for a new campaign or an existing one that needs improvement. Diversifying your sources can be the difference between a profitable campaign and a losing campaign. Blocking sources is not always the best solution, because there are often sales in those sources. Without a feature like Source Smoothing™, click through ratios and results can be skewed by just a few sources, and affect the overall outcome dramatically.
The Source Smoothing™ system works by limiting the volume of traffic by any specific source in the JuicyAds network, by pausing them temporarily instead of blocking them permanently. Advertisers are now able to adjust the maximum volume They receive from any adzone to pause them after they have sent between 10,000 and 1 million impressions.
Clients can also use Source Smoothing™on a per-click basis, between 10 and 100,000 clicks per day. The settings also work together, so you can limit sources to a maximum of 100,000 impressions and 100 clicks, whichever comes first.
"Paused" sources will appear on the "Traffic Sources" page highlighted in yellow for easy identification.
